Curing Stages of Epoxy Resin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mixing the hardener with epoxy resin initiates a chemical reaction that transforms it from a liquid state to a solid. This entire chemical reaction time is referred to as the curing time<\/em>. The gel state is an intermediate phase between the liquid and solid states, as depicted in Figure 1. The curing process for epoxy is summarized in the following three stages:<\/p>\n

  1. Workable Time (Liquid State)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Initial Curing (Gel State)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Final Curing (Solid State)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    UV Curing of UV Resin<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Certain types of epoxy resins can be cured using ultraviolet (UV) light. This method and the resins suitable for it are currently popular, primarily for applications involving thin layers and decorative purposes. However, it is not effective for products requiring greater depth, such as cast pieces.<\/p>\n
